On Friday we went to The Photographer’s Gallery in the West End and it was great to see real professional pictures all framed and looking really impressive. I am not sure mine will be like that, but I was very happy with one shot I took today of someone at the pub. Calvin had showed me to use a reflector for light and I was happy with how it came out. Some of the other kids on the project took pictures of commuters and Sophia took a picture of a man in a banana suit collecting for charity. It was really funny, but I am not sure it will be on our final display, as we have to curate the work now to see which of the photos look well together.
Because I am doing this project, I now understand a lot more about photography and I think that is why I liked the trip so much today. It gave me confidence to take my own portraits.
